Mass Effect - Joker Moreau and EDI cosplays by Emmalyn Mass Effect - Joker Moreau and EDI cosplays by Emmalyn
Here are our finished EDI and Joker costumes! c: We wore these to Phoenix Comicon, which was great fun; I got to see some old friends and meet new people, and lots of nice folks asked for pictures.

I may make some edits to these before we wear them again (namely to the boot coversómaking some for Joker, and adding some details and Velcro to EDIís to keep them from falling down). Also, EDI needs a gun, don't you think?

Do let me know what you think, and thanks for looking! :D <3

P.S. EDI's head construction/in-progress pics can be found here and here if you're interested.

Awesome costumes! What did you do for the Pants' Overcoat piece?

Thank you! c: I made the overcoat (I assume you mean Joker's leather vest-thing, if not feel free to correct me!) from a thrift store leather jacket, cutting the sides and sleeves off and sewing/gluing the seams and layers together. Same for Joker's shorts, except I used some real desert camo pants for the base and cut up some more thrift store black jeans for the top part. On the black denim, I sewed bias tape around the edges, as well as sewing buckles and nylon webbing to hold them on. (The cargo pockets are fake, but made from the same material.)

Hope this helps a bit, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions! :D

You're very welcome! c: Oh, and I forgot to mention -- I used craft foam in the shoulder area underneath the leather, too. I just glued the leather to the foam and wrapped the edges around for a finished look. This is the glue I used, and I just clamped the edges with clothespins while I waited for them to dry. ;D
